Disney Treasure
Explore the Seas with Disney Treasure
Disney Cruise Line is expanding its fleet with the launch of Disney Treasure. The second of the three 4,000-passenger Wish-class vessels, it will be built by the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and be the largest in the fleet. Disney Treasure will be designed around the theme of adventure, with the Grand Hall featuring Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and the animated Magic Carpet. Drawing on influences from Asia and Africa, as well as Agrabah from Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Aladdin", the interior will reflect a "gilded palace". Disney Treasure will be 144,000 gross tons and carry 4,000 passengers and 1,555 crew. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D'Amaro said the ship was inspired by Walt Disney's love of exploration. The launch of Disney Treasure is set to coincide with the opening of Disney's second private Bahamian island, Lighthouse Point, with further details to be announced soon. Plan your cruise now for the chance to experience the grandeur and mystery of Disney Treasure.
