MS Fridtjof Nansen
Spectacular Norway Cruise Aboard MS Fridtjof Nansen
MS Fridtjof Nansen is the second of Hurtigruten's eco-friendly expedition vessels and a near-match to MS Roald Amundsen. The 20,889-tonne Norwegian-built ship can accommodate up to 530 passengers and primarily sails to Antarctica and Greenland. Green policies are implemented on board, such as no single-use plastics and water stations for refilling bottles, along with recycling bins in each cabin. Passengers can opt for a “we stay green” sign to skip housekeeping and towel washing. There are 265 exterior cabins, including family cabins with sofa beds, and larger suites with hot tubs. Accessible cabins are also available, but no single cabins. The main experience is the Science Center, a learning venue for passengers and crew to learn more about the visited areas. Expedition staff of up to 22 join passengers for meals, lectures, workshops and shore tours. Onboard facilities include three restaurants, a lecture theatre, library, sauna, gym, spa, outdoor pool and hot tubs, and free Wi-Fi.
