The Santa Cruz II is the perfect replacement for the iconic Santa Cruz, which had been sailing the Galapagos Islands for 36 years. This five-deck vessel was built in 2002 and has been completely refurbished, making it feel brand new. Guests onboard will enjoy high levels of comfort, great food, knowledgeable guides and friendly service, making it feel like an extended family. Metropolitan Touring is also committed to making their ships eco-friendly, with a recycling program set up in 1979 and bins for recycling in all public areas. Plus, they promote reducing and reusing resources where possible. Santa Cruz II is an expedition ship, not a traditional cruise ship, so it focuses on the exploration opportunities, combining luxury with adventure. It's no wonder Metropolitan Touring chose this ship to replace the much-loved Santa Cruz.
