Hurtigruten’s MS Spitsbergen Chases the Northern Lights

Set sail on an unforgettable Scandinavian adventure aboard Hurtigruten’s MS Spitsbergen, an intimate expedition ship offering a contemporary Nordic experience. Originally built in 2009 and later refurbished with a sleek, modern Scandi-style interior, this small cruise ship accommodates up to 290 passengers. From September to May, MS Spitsbergen navigates Norway’s stunning fjords, stopping at 34 picturesque ports. 

The highlight of the journey? The chance to witness the breathtaking northern lights. With Hurtigruten’s Northern Lights Promise, guests who don’t spot them between October 1 and March 31 receive a free six- or seven-night cruise the following year. Onboard, enjoy locally sourced cuisine, comfortable cabins with large picture windows, and award-winning service.
