Fall in Love with History in Athens
Athens is the capital of Greece. It’s also the very heart of Ancient Greek mythology and history’s formerly mighty empire and civilization. See the Parthenon temple and the incredible Herod Atticus Odeon amphitheater, the Delphi Ruins, and the Temple of Poseidon, and so much more.
Visitors flock to Athens to see amazing ruins left over from this time, such as the 5th-century Acropolis, which still stands on a hill. If you go, you’ll be humbled by this relic of a long-forgotten time — as well as the views of Athens from above. The Acropolis Museum offers an array of well-preserved jewelry and objects from that time.
If you’re able to get up to Mount Lycabettus, there’s no better place for breathtaking views in Athens.
