Life’s a Beach in Durban
On the coast of eastern South Africa is where you’ll find the city of Durban. If you’re into soccer, you may know that this tropical metropolis was the host of the 2010 World Cup.
Durban’s seafront promenade is called the Golden Mile, and it was renovated for that event. The area offers a wide variety of attractions. For instance, you’ll find the beach, several restaurants, Moses Mabhida Stadium, and uShaka Marine World, a combination theme park and aquarium here.
Unique to Durban is The Valley of 1,000 Hills, an area with restaurants, markets, hiking and even a Zulu village with guides that will tell you about the history of their tribe.
