Edinburgh
See Enchanting Edinburgh
Built on rolling hills, Edinburgh, Scotland is filled with wonders. Take a whisky distillery tour — or two, and if you’re up for it, hike Arthur’s Seat and be rewarded with great views. Likewise, Edinburgh Castle is filled with history, wonderful views, and is the keep where the Scottish Crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny are stored.
If you like museums, head to the National Museum of Scotland for artifacts and historical exhibits, and the Scottish National Gallery for paintings, photos, and sculptures. If you have time while in Edinburgh, take a tour of the Highlands and then cruise Loch Ness.
Go all out in Edinburgh with a visit to Real Mary King's Close — an incredible series of underground streets. You’ll be guided by actors dressed in 1600s period costume and learn about that time while hearing spooky tales.
